Tile Map Generator

Designing and Editing levels for a game could be a very long process, Tile Map Generator aims to reduce this time, and help game designers by giving them inspiration with random and new composition for their games.

With this tool you can generate random maps with your own tiles, at this moment there are 4 kinds of maps :

Dungeon

Platformer horizontal

Platformer multidirectional

Rooms (interior)

Then you can edit your map after each generation, the edition contains many features that makes easier the process, see the tutorial further down.

And other maps are upcoming for future update

Export 

When you are done just simply export the result as image file (png), or as json file. Look at the actual extension/plugin/module that we have in the opensource repository, all these extension are well documented and show you how to use the exported json file.
Click the icon of your game engine to get the extension, if you don't find your game engine click the Github icon.

       

    

Installation

Download the free version of your corresponding operating systeme, or download the full version and get access to JSON export feature and the auto update.
The tool is available for Windows 64bit, and MacOS 64bit as portable version you just have to unzip the file and run the .exe.
Also available as a .deb package for Linux 64bits distributions based on Debian, check installation instruction for linux
